Meet Sina
Sina is the name of my beautiful momma, and I will never forget her. In my mind and memory, mom was the very essence of love and strength! For the longest time, she was my love and the heart of our family. Even though 14 years have passed since her death, I find that my heart is finally healing, and I have discovered throughout my life journey without mom, what wisdom and love means. Sina, my mom, was a woman of passion and compassion, deeply proud of our Polynesian culture, traditions, and her family name. There were four things that meant the world to Mom: her family, her children and grandchildren, her passion for cooking and baking, and the churches she attended. Mom always believed in giving to others what you have and trusting that God would provide in return. It took me roughly 14 years to finally understand what she meant. Giving to others is not only compassion, but it is also walking the way God and Jesus Christ wanted us to treat others. In saying this, I realized that mom loved her church and church members, and she believed in helping others when we can. Mom did not use the word 'if' she used the word 'can' in just about anything that came to giving back to others. She even organized events that brought our community together, showcasing our culture and values, embodying the essence of event coordination in the most beautiful way. Her legacy of kindness and generosity continues to inspire me, just as her love for stationary design reflected her passion for creativity.

Hello, my name is Moana, and I am the founder of MoanaSina. My vision for MoanaSina is to share the beauty and warmth of my Polynesian culture through expert event coordination and unique stationary design. Inspired by years of devoted service in the U.S. Navy and deeply rooted in my Samoan heritage—especially the traditions of creativity and dance passed down from my mother and grandmother—my mission is to help coordinate events while minimizing costs for my customers.

A Name with Deep Meaning
I chose the name MoanaSina for my business to honor my mother’s legacy and demonstrate how I can give back to others through cost-effective designs, event coordination, and stationary design. The name MoanaSina is a blend of my name and my mother’s name. Across Polynesian culture, “Moana” symbolizes the vastness of the blue ocean. In the Samoan language, when ocean waves crash and produce sparkling white foam on the sand, that white foam is referred to as “Sina.” This symbolism reflects the deep connection I share with my mom.
